The Ministry carries out its activities guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, international contracts the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party to and the Statute of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established following the Order No. 3 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 22, 2013.
