House-Museum of Vagif Mustafazade House-museum of prominent Azerbaijani musician, founder of “Jazz-mugham” Vagif Mustafazade was opened in 1984. At first, Ziver khanum, mother of the eminent musician led the house-museum and since 1997, Afag Aliyeva, cousin of Mustafazade holds this position. After the museum was repaired, its opening was held on March 16, 2005 and since then it started to function as a state museum under Ministry of Culture and Tourism. At the exposition of the museum, statue of the pianist made by Azad Zeynalov, lightened bas-relief of the musician by Omar Eldarov, sculptural portrait and galvanic portrait of Vagif Mustafazade by Asim Guliyev, portrait of the jazzman by Namig Zeynalov, as well as portraits of the musician and his daughter Aziza are demonstrated. Today more than 150 photos, as well as posters, film and video materials, diplomas, certificates, gramophone records and photo-albums are collected at the museum. House-museum hosts several events.
