This amusement park was named after Heydar Aliyev in connected with 75th anniversary of our national leader in 1998. The total area of the park is 9 hectares. Reconstruction works in the park begun in May 2009. Magnificent entrance portal with 19.5 meters width and 12.5 meters height was created in this amusement park. "Park named after Heyder Aliyev" words have been carved on the same portal built of material with special composition. The area around the portal was covered with granite. In the entrance of the park, the area of 2 thousand square meters has been adorned with garlands of special flowers; the area of 15 thousand square meters has been covered with stone in a modern style; the area of 45 thousand square meters has been covered with lawn. The buildings located in the territory of the park were thoroughly repaired in modern style, new summer cinema with 500 seats was built in the park; history-ethnography museum, children’s creativity centre, sport-entertainment club were created here. The area of 16 thousand square meters in the park was covered with stone plates, 5 hectares of green area was laid out, 7 meter width and 132-meter length modern fountain, and lightening and watering systems have been created. Ten thousand trees and flower bushes have been brought from Germany, Italy and Turkey and used in the landscape gardening work. There are 13 decorative figures, 5 pavilions placed in the park.
