Azerbaijan-Egypt Friendship ParkIn 2007, Azerbaijan-Egypt Friendship Park was opened in Khirdalan. In the center of 0.28 hectares park area, there was the monument of President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hosni Mubarak. The authors of more than 3-meter high bronze statue were the architect Salhab Mammadov, Akif Askerov, and Natig Aliyev. The monument was taken away due to presidential changes during the riots in Egypt in 2011. At the moment, there is a statue of a calligrapher which is one of the symbols of Egypt. There are also statues of the ancient Egyptian pharaohs in the park. Among them, there is also the statue of Pharaoh Tutmosis III, gift of the governor of GAlubiyye province Edil Hussein. Diminished copy of Giza pyramid, the figure of a lion, as well as bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the life of ancient Egypt gives a special beauty to the park.
