Shamil Castle - Built in the 19th century, it is located on Yezlidagh Mountain in the mountainous Ilisu village of Gakh region. The round fortress has 7.4 m diameter. For firing and observation purposes there are loop-holes in the fortress built from river stones and lime solution. From here it is possible to observe and control simply all ways coming to Ilisu. There is a cart way from the village to the fortress. It is known as Shamil castle among local population and is protected by state as a historical architectural monument. From the ruins of the castle, the nearest settlement to Daghestan- Sarybash tower is seen.
