Hamza Soltan Palace - Located in Husulu village of Lachin region, the palace is estimated to be built in 1761. Among ruined walls of the complex it is easily observed that Shah palace is surrounded by thick walls. General view of the palace proves that once it had had a high tower. Entrance gate was from south side of the palace. Its beautiful arched ceilings have been fastened to the thick flank walls. Being two-storeyed, the palace has a large hall, many auxiliary rooms and a court-house. Door and windows of the palace have been delicately prepared from walnut-tree. Oriental architectural style traditions are dominant in the building. It is estimated that Sultanate was established here in 1700 controlling most of the territory of the Zangazur province. The palace building has been constructed from local stones and lime solution. Armenian government changed the historical name of this village to "Melikatun" in 2007. Hamza Soltan Palace has been restored by the Armenians. It is now used as a touristic motel.
