Salyan Gate (Baku) - Icharishahar had two gates in the past: Shamakhy and Salyan Gates. Salyan Gate was built in a cupola-like arched form. Belonging to the 18th century, a bath-house with beautiful architecture - Gasim bey bath-house - was located in front of Salyan Gate. Near these gates were a custom-house and a bath-house. Second chief plan of Baku city was prepared in 1806. Unlike the plan of 1796, suburban settlements were drawn as separate from each other and considerably near to the city-castle in this new plan. There were four main roads from and to the city. Salyan gate was opened to the road going to Salyan and Shamakhy, while the road stretched to Shirvan and Guba was from Shamaky Gate.
