Castle remnants (Gala village) - Located in Haji Ramazan quarter in Gala village of Absheron, it is the historical village center belonging to the 14th century. Its tower was destroyed in the soviet time. Only remainders of castle walls and nearby medieval Juma Mosque have survived to this day. This building, later used as a mosque, was part of the fortification complex. In the underground part there had been secret sanctuaries, tunnels, and other secret paths in the ancient time. The castle was fully restored in 2010. Houses, graves and other buildings discovered underneath have been restored as well. Quadrangular castle has been encircled by high walls. Since it had been erected on a high ground the castle was a guard point. It has an arched entrance.
