Galaboynu fortress - Belonging to the Iron Age, the monument is located near Atabey village of Shamkir region. Only remnants of the fortress have survived up to now. As seen from the remnants, it has been built from river stones. It is a historical monument of country importance. The fortress is supposed to be a settlement. But, since it is on a hilly place, it was also a fortification.
