The platan is in the yard of the khan palace, in Shaki. The tree was planted in 1530. Its height is 34 m, while the body amounts 7.3m high. Platans in the yard of the khan palace have been registered in the "Red Book" so that to cut them off is prohibited. They belong to eastern platan sort. The trees do not threaten the building of khan palace for now for the present.
