Entrance of Lokbatan SettlementLokbatan is an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Garadagh district. The settlement was established in 1931-1932 in relation with the fountain of oil well No. 45. Housing area consisted of houses made of reeds on today’s Seymur Orujov street were founded in connection with the oil at that time. It is a name given by the inhabitants to a part of Lokbatan settlement of Baku city. “Taza evlar”, meaning “new houses” is the part of the settlement that was founded in 1980s. It is consisted of mainly 5-storeyed buildings and three 9-storeyed buildings. From the road turning right in front of the “Garadagh” wedding palace at the entrance of the settlement starts the part called “Taza Evlar”.
