Koroghlu statueOne of the monuments-rich areas of Baku is the surroundings of Ganjlik metro station. One of them is the statue of Koroghlu. The author of the monument, which was opened in 2011, is Tokay Mammadov. The monument is 23-meter-high together with its pedestal. The pedestal is made of granite blocks, each weighing 20-35 tons. A total of 480 tons of granite were used for constructing the pedestal. The totally bronze monument was made in Ukraine.
