“Liberated Energy” Composition. The opening of “Liberated Energy” monument located on Tbilisi Avenue, Nasimi district, Baku city was held on May 9, 1998. Heydar Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Eduard Shevardnadze, the President of Georgia attended the opening ceremony. This statue of horse as a symbol of power and energy was made by Georgian sculptor Georgi Japaridze and Azerbaijani architect Gasimzade. This monument is regarded as the symbol of relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
