The bust was erected behind of the History-ethnography museum in Yusif Mammadaliyev square in Hеydar Aliyеv Avenue of Ordubad city. Monument is on a two-tiered pedestal masked with greenish facet and on a platform of the same color. It has been shaved from brownish facet. The followings are written with capital letters on the platform "Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev" and "1905-1961". Bust has been shaved out of one single piece of facet. It can be considered as an example of portrait genre. Sculptor was able to depict great scientist Yusif Mammadaliyev"s peculiar facial expressions in plastic strokes by over-emphasizing the facial lines of the gorelief-shaped portrait. Incompletely shaved facet piece represents a stone chronicle of an unfinished scientist"s life. It successfully reflects silent and restrained appearance of the academician. Monument was erected in 1975.
