Bust of Jalil Mammadguluzade – the bronze busts is in the city of Sumgait. Writer, journalist, playwright, publisher of the "Molla Nasreddin" satirical magazine Mammadguluzade Jalil Mammadgulu oglu was born in 1866 in Nakhchivan. In 1887, he graduated from Gori Teachers Seminary. He has performed as an actor while studying at the seminary as well. Jalil Mamadguluzade has taught in Ulukhanli, Bash Norashen, and Nehram villages. While working in Nehram village he attracted the girls to schools and created an ethnographical museum.Jalil Mammadgulu oglu Mammadguluzade died in Baku in 1932. J. Mammadguluzade’s bust was created by Nezirov in 2003and has been installed in Jalil Mamadguluzade street of the 6th district in Sumgait city. The statue of J. Mammadguluzade was made in 1959 and opened in 1974.
