The statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev was unveiled in the Recreational Park of Mashtagha village on October 18, 2009. After the white cover was removed from the statue, a wreath had been put to the front of the statue. The author of the statue is popular artist, well-known sculptor and academician Omar Eldarov. The Recreation Park was totally renewed after the repair works. The total area of the Recreation Park is more than one hectare; about 1000 trees and different shrubs were planted, and a fountain has been set up here
