Jafar Jabbarly"s statue - The statue was raised in Khyzy region in 1999 and its architect is Jalal Garyaghdi. Jafar Gafar ogly Jabbarly, a famous poet, a prose-writer, a specialist in drama study, a translator, a scenario writer, and finally a journalist, was born to a poor peasant family in Khyzy village, 110 km far from Baku, on March 20, 1899. He has outstandingly contributed to the XX century Azerbaijan literature, culture and art. J.Jabbarli died from heart paralysis on December 31, 1934.
