Gum village mosque (Gakh) – The mosque is situated in Gum village of Gakh region. Its construction date is not exactly known. The mosque’s yard side area is 1200 square metres, and inside area is 28x13 metres.Gum village mosque was built with the river-bed stones and burnt bricks. It has an earthen floor and the ceiling made of plastic metall. The roof is placed on the seven pipe columns. The yard side area has been fenced. The roof of this mosque, which has the right-angled form, has been worked out with the iron layer. The cupola is round, has been covered with the white iron. There are the half-moon and the five-pointed star symbols on the cupola. The mosque has got three entrance doors. There is the veranda (28x2 metres area) in front of the entrance doors. The praying hall’s height is 5 metres. The mosque’s pulpit is wooden, it is five-staged. The sanctuary is very simple, its height is 4 metres. 18 windows have been put in the praying hall (arch-formed).It was used as the warehouse in the Soviet period. The mosque began carrying out activity again in 1988 year.
