Murtuza Mukhtar mosque – has been built in Vagif street of Amirjan village. The year of construction is 1908. The area of men’s section is 14x14 meters, and of women’s section is 84 sq.metres. The architect of the mosque was Zivar bay Ahmadbayov, and the master was a famous craftsman Karbalayi Ahmad Samad. The second master of the mosque was Mirza Malik Abbasgulu. The words “Murtuza Mukhtar mosque” have been written on the left side of the entrance door of Murtuza Mukhtar mosque, and those words have been written in Arabic alphabet on the right side. The mosque has double minarets. The height of the minarets is 47 meters. The word “Kalmeyi-teyyuba” is written in Arabic at the bottom of the first balcony of both minarets. The height of the alter is 9 meters. The mosque stands on four huge arches. The thickness of the walls is 1 meter. These arches play the role of a column and the dome stands on those arches. The height of the dome up to its round part is 16 meters, and up to the upper part is 19 meters. The height of the entrance door of the mosque is 6 meters. Two inscriptions have been engraved on marble 3 meters above the door. Here is written: “1317 by Islamic calendar...” (late XIX – early XX century). Mukhtarov Murtuza Mukhtar’s (1855-1920) grave is based in the yard of the mosque.
