The sanctuary is placed in the country type settlement of Baku – Buzovna. Let’s note that for the last years our nation’s life is characterized with the processes of reconstruction of self comprehension mosques and religious praying houses. And one of such mosque-sanctuaries is Hazrat Ali Sanctuary, “Ali-ayaghi” mosque-sanctuary, which is situated in this settlement and has great influence on the Muslim world. In former times, there has been the mosque for the devout could make namaz and other religious ceremonies, and besides - caravanserai carrying out activity for palmers. Formerly, people from Tabriz, Damascus, Samarqand, Tashkent, and Calcutta and from world’s other big commerce-economic residences came to this sanctuary. Different historical legends and memories are spoken about the sanctuary between people. The big role of the people has been in preserving and keeping up the sanctuary to these days. Those who come here healed of different illnesses by kissing the track of Hazrat Ali’s foot and praying. In 1987 year by initiative of the local people Mashadi Arif Ahmad from Buzovna was appointed the Sheikh of this sacred sanctuary for the purposes of restoration and reconstruction in sanctuary. Exactly with the help of the Sheikh and well-wishing sons of our nation the mosque, bed-rooms for the palmers, kitchen supplied with all home things, teaching rooms, wide library, slaughter-house, garage, places for ablution before divine service (for men and women) and other necessary service rooms were put into exploitation.
