Haji Mahmud Efendi’s mosque is situated in Aslanbayli village of Gazakh region. It was constructed in 1328th year by Hijra (early XX century) by Hamid Efendi. The inside area is 15x10 metres.
Haji Mahmud Efendi’s mosque was used as a club from 1938 to 1985. The mosque began to be repaired and reconstructed by local inhabitants in 1990. We should mention that the mosque has had a minaret once. The wooden minaret was destroyed later. The height of the newly constructed minaret of the mosque is 18 metres.
The roofing of the mosque has been slated. There is a porch in the front part of the entrance door (the area is 30 square metres). The ceiling is wooden and rectangular. The pulpit is wooden and eight-stepped.
