Juma Mosque is located in Ramazan Street of Baku city. The hijri dates - "1327" (on the inscription in the entrance), "1324" (on the alter), and 1333 (in the minaret) indicates its being built at the start of the 20th century. Words of "Allah, Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Huseyn" have been written in the inscription on the alter. The area of the main praying hall is 225 sqm, while women"s sector amounts 75 sqm. This mosque was closed, given to the service of a sovkhoz and used as a storehouse in 1937. It was being used as a carpet manufactory until its being burnt in 1973. It was restored as a mosque in 1985. Restoration works headed by Haji Muhammad and villagers were carried out here between 1987 and 1992. A deputy of the Milli Mejlis, Haji Mader has also contributed to the reconstruction of this mosque by giving 14 lusters and 42 rugs. Inside of the mosque are four pillars joined with arches. The cupol is somehow seemed as standing on these pillars. Pulpit is eight-stepped. Height of the minaret of the Mosque is 32 m. There are ayets from Quran in the minaret. The words "Allah, Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan, Huseyn" have also been written here. Minaret was damaged with gunfire by Armenians in 1918. The damage is still noticeable.
