Nuran Khatun mosque – is situated in Old Bazaar district (now Mahammad Amin Rasulzadah street) of Aghsu town. Its foundation was put in 1996 year. It started carrying out activity from the beginning of the 1997 year. Its yard side area is 2000 square metres, and inside area is 15x11 metres. Aghsu town Nuran Khatun mosque’s main praying hall was built with the saw stones. 24 windows (wooden and arch-formed) have been put in the praying room. The women section’s area is 12x7 metres. The minaret’s height is 14 metres. The minaret is made of an iron pipe. The mosque’s floor is concreted, and the ceiling is wooden. The cupola’s height from the floor is 9 metres. The sanctuary is very simple, its height is 2,5 metres. The mosque’s roof, cupolas, and even the minaret’s top have been worked out with the iron layer. The number of cupolas is three. Two of them are small, and the one is very big. The minaret has the Osman architecture style. Aghsu town Nuran Khatun mosque was built with the means of Azerbaijan Youth Assistance Found. The mosque’s architect is the chief architect of Aghsu region – Sardar Bayramov.
