This Mosque is located in the center of Amirjan village of Baku city. The Mosque was built in XIV century; the facade part is built of limestone and worked with white color. Stone inscriptions have been carved above three of four entrances of the Mosque. According to the information that local people gave, the praying hall of this Mosque used to be small in the past, but it has been enlarged gradually. The inner area of the praying hall of the present Mosque is 24x6 meters and the height is 5 meters. The height of the sanctuary of the Mosque used to be 2 meters, the word "Allah" (God) has been written in several places of the sanctuary. Besides, the stone inscription in the top part of the sanctuary is put upside-down. As local people inform, it has been done by Armenians later on in the repair time. The thickness of the walls of the Mosque is one meter, the height from the floor till cupola is 7.5 meters. The diameter of the cupola is six meters. The Mosque does not have a minaret; the height of the cupola on the facade side is 1.5 meters. We shall mention that the builder of this Mosque was Abbas Ali; the author of the inscriptions on the Mosque is Mahammad Tagi. Also, it is necessary to inform that historical importance of the Mosque is quite great. The history of this architecture monument tells us that it was built in the time of Shirvansakhs’ state by Amir Nizamaddin Kasrani. The second line of one of the Mosque inscriptions written in Arabic language tells: "Great Fakhraddin the son of Amir Nizamaddin Amirhaj ordered the construction of this house for Allah; year 730 according to Islamic calendar (1329-1330 according to chronology of Christianity)". Repair and construction works have been carried out in this Mosque at the beginning of XX century. A four stone column entrance was built in the middle of the veranda on the west side, located across the door built by Nizamaddin. We read about it in the Arabic inscription on the door: "This door was built by Haji Khalaf the son of Rizvan".
