The Juma mosque of Turkan village – is based in Turkan village of Baku. It was built in 1322 by Islamic calendar. The inside area is 17x18 metres, the backyard is 600 sq.metres. An inscription about the history of the mosque has been engraved in Persian language on the entrance door. There is a corridor inside from the entrance door. There is entrance from the corridor to women’s and men’s section. The floor of Turkan mosque is concrete. The alter (the height is 4 metres) has been made of hewn stone. The diameter of the dome is 5 metres and the dome has four windows. The height from the floor to the dome is 14 metres, and from the floor to the ceiling is 9 metres. The ceiling and dome stand on columns. The columns are connected with one another via the arches. The first floor is located on the corridor. Here is intended for women. The pulpit of the mosque is six-stepped and made of wood. The yard of Turkan mosque has been laid with asphalt.
