Imam Zaman Mosque has been constructed in Mashtagha village. Its foundation has been laid in 1293 according to Islamic calendar (seventieth of XIX century). The walls of the Mosque have been built of cut stones. The construction date of the Mosque is mentioned in the stone inscription that has been carved on the wall in the right side of the entrance, above the door. The pulpit has five steps; it was made of wood. The floor has been covered with stone flags. The ceiling stands on eight stone columns. The diameter of the cupola is 3 meters; it was colored with green color. There are four arched windows in the cupola. There are Arabic writings on the sanctuary; the height of the sanctuary is 2.80 meters. The Imam Zaman Mosque of Mashtagha village is divided into two sections: for men and women. The women’s section has two floors. The division between the sections has been decorated with ornament. There are several auxiliary rooms in the inside of the Mosque. The Mosque building had been used as a storehouse in Soviet times (1937-1989). There was a religious school under the Mosque before.
