Ardabil Mosque (Guba) – The Mosque is situated in Fatalikhan street of Guba city. It was constructed in 1312 year (by hicra-lunar calendar). The Mosques inside area is 13x15 metres. Ardabil Mosque’s building has completely been constructed with the burnt red bricks. Its roof is right-angled form and worked out with the wood. The roof is placed on four wooden columns. The sanctuary’s height is 2,5 metres. The pulpit is nine-staged and made of pine-tree. The women section of the Mosque is placed on the first floor. Its area is 3x15 metres. The cupola’s height from the earth is 12 metres.In former times there have been another Mosque built of black bricks instead of the Ardabil Mosque. Later during the march of Nadir shah there have been the mosque and the karvansara in here. Mostly the passengers were praying here. Those times about 40 Ardabil families have been moved in here. And this proves existence of Ardabil village in the city. This Mosque has been constructed by the means of the local devouts. In soviet times it was used as the hostel, store-house, and archive. In 1966 year it was burnt. Till 1988 year it remained in destroyed situation. In 1988 year the Mosque was taken under protection of the government. And so, its roof has been covered, the windows have been put. After this, at the insistence of the people it was put into use. Since 1990 year repair-reconstruction works have been carried out in the Mosque.
