Khok Juma Mosque – The Mosque has been constructed in Khok village of Kangarly district. According to the inscriptions on the walls its history belongs to 600 years ago (XIV century). Its total area is 14x14 metres. Khok Juma Mosque’s history is very ancient. In the beginning of the century the repair-restoration works have been carried out in here. Last time the repair works have been done here in 198-1989 years. During this repair the Mosque’s roof has been changed, and also double minarets have been raised. They are made of iron and their height is 15 metres.Khok Juma Mosque has been constructed from unpolished stones. From inside the walls have been plastered with the alabaster, and from outside – with burnt brick. Thickness of the walls is 1 metre. The Mosque consists of two parts – sections for men and for women. The women section, which has veranda form, is three-storeyed. Each floor’s area is 56 square metres. The religious school also carries out activity in the Mosque. The Mosque’s height from the floor till the ceiling is 7 metres, and till the cupola – is 11 metres; cupola’s diameter is 5 metres. There are 12 spectacles on the cupola. Khok Juma Mosques interior is very simple.
