The mosque is near the Shirvanshah"s Palace Complex. Based on the short epigraph on the facade, the mosque was built in the 16th century by architect Hadji Bani. Opposite the entrance is a large stalactite altar of masonry. With another epigraph becomes clear that the mosque was rebuilt in 1320 according to Muslim chronology (1902-1903 years). During this period, there were added a special room of the women (shebistan), the lobby and were restoration works were held. Prayer hall was doubly illuminated by double semi-circular windows. During the renovation of the mosque interior and exterior have been kept in a traditional architectural style and motifs. The expressive silhouette based on the cubic structure, dome stone reflect the characteristics of the local architecture.
