President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening of Heydar Aliyev museum in Sabirabad in September 2008. The construction begun in 2007; total area of the building is 487.8 square meters. The construction of the building had been completed within 6 months. The museum was built with the initiative of the Hеydar Aliyеv"s Fund. Photos and different books related to life and activity of the national leader are exposed in seven sections of the museum. Photos reflecting numerous journeys of the great leader to Sabirabad region in 1970 and in the time of independence, his meetings are especially interesting. President Ilham Aliyev wrote his wishes in the memory book of the museum. When looking at the photo showcase, photos reflecting national leader Heydar Aliyev"s journey to Sabirabad region are especially interesting. It is known that the Great Leader had made 15 journeys to Sabirabad region. 14 of them were in the years of Soviet Power. There are conference salon and a computer room in the museum. Good conditions have been created for organizing different events in the conference hall of the museum.
