Gypsy caravanserai It is an architectural monument of mediaeval period near the village of Pirakashkul, Absheron region. It is on the ancient caravan route from Baku to Shamakhi. In connection with the loss of importance of the caravan trade in the nineteenth century, Gypsy caravanserai remained unused. Then, as the nomadic gypsies settled there every once in a while the local population called it as a Gypsy caravanserai. The monument is also called Miajik caravanserai in some sources. The caravanserai had rooms for guests and servants and also a housekeeping area. Gypsy caravanserai has been built by using the limestone. The inscription on the gate of caravanserai depicts the name of Shirvanshah Khalilullah. According to the palaeography of inscription and the titles of the Shirvanshah, we can state that it refers to II Khalilullah.
