In 1981, a decree was issued on the creation of the House Museum of the famous poet-philosopher and playwright H. Javid on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. The museum began its activities in 1991. Since 1995, it has been in the system of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The exposition and collections contain more than 5000 exhibits. The building in which the museum is located was built by the famous millionaire H.Z. Tagiyev, and there was founded a school of Muslim women. The school operated until 1918. The total area of the museum is 245 square meters. The museum contains valuable examples of the life and work of Javid - his works published in different years, manuscripts, monuments and letters, family paintings, paintings, personal items and much more. In the lobby of the museum is a description of the planet named after H. Javid. One of the rooms is called "The Javid Tragedy". Here everything remained as it was at the time of the poet; a desk, letters to relatives in exile, etc. In the museum a scientific council was created, and five scientists from the museum staff wrote a dissertation to study Javid's legacy in different directions.The museum regularly holds memorable meetings.
