Multani caravanserai is a precious gift from the Indians. Multani is one of two caravanserais near the Maiden’s Tower in Icheri Sheher, it gives a special flavor to the ancient Baku architecture due to its construction style. Built in a style different from the traditional caravanserai style, and reminiscent of the Surakhani fire station, Multani was originally built by the Indians who arrived in Baku. When you enter a monument, you find yourself in a completely different world. Multani caravanserai was built in the 14th century by Indian merchants. The lower floor of the building is underground. It has three large halls and three floors for lower floors, which are intended for keeping animals for sale. The merchant could only bring his animals into the basement through the door to the sea. This is not without reason. Thus, at the entrance to Icheri Sheher, merchants could climb into the living rooms from another salon door, as the road went up. The door of the other hall of the lower floor overlooks the Maiden Tower. The door of the hall, called "Sim-Sim" in the caravanserai, has an unusual appearance. It resembles the famous Sim-Sim door in the film "Alibaba and the Forty Thieves".

Multani caravanserai retains its ancient identity in much the same way as before. Just the stones are already a little worn and sprinkled. On the walls are ancient Azerbaijani carpets, ornaments, carpets and embroideries, as well as paintings depicting ancient Baku. The main goal here is to create an idea of the ancient and rich history of Azerbaijan among visitors to the caravanserai. There are tables, chairs and sofas that make the halls a bit modern. In the small corridor at the entrance to the Sim-Sim hall, it is worth noting the gifts given by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf to the caravanserai. On the shelf where the gifts were kept, it read "Kitchenware from Multani, Pakistan." Gifts include ceramic table lamps, flower vases, ceramic cups and bowls, ceramic plates, water boilers, flower vases, tea sets, pots, open pots and mirrors. In the Middle Ages, merchants who arrived in the caravanserai after placing their animals went to another room and climbed the stairs. This staircase leads to the courtyard of the second floor. There are guest rooms in the courtyard. Multani Caravanserai consists of 10 rooms. Interestingly, the rooms have preserved their antiquity, as well as some items. Multani Caravanserai has been operating under the name "Restaurant-Caravanserai Complex" since the 70s. Currently, the caravanserai is protected by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan as an important architectural monument.
