House-museum of Jafar Jabbarli

J.Jabbarli once lived on Yukhari Daglyg Street in Baku. Now his house functions as a house museum. The museum was opened on March 20, 1982 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the writer. The total area of the museum is 200 square meters with 7 rooms. In this cultural hearth saved more than 8,000 exhibits. In the rooms there displayed documents, photographs, artifacts reflecting the life and work of the writer. Also, exposure enriches the rich heritage of scientific works and gifts donated by outstanding personalities to playwright. The museum has produced a CD with songs written in the poet"s verses. At the same time, on the 100 anniversary of Jabbarli was founded a special award "Jabbarly" and was presented to some artists. Jabbarli was born in 1899 in the village of Khizi and in the same village since 1969 operates Jabbarly museum, which is under the Ministry of Culture. In both museums there are exhibits reflecting life and creativity, pictures, models made for the production of the writer"s plays.
