The building of Museum Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan is located in the very center of Baku, near the Seaside National Park. It was built in 1960 based on the design of eminent Azerbaijani architect Hasan Majidov on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Lenin’s birthday and opened as a branch of Moscow Lenin Museum in 1961. Following the collapse of USSR in 1991, by decree of the President of Azerbaijan, the building was transferred to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and renamed Museum Center. The director of Museum Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan is Liana Vazirova. The building hosts following museums: 1.
