Venice of Baku“Venice” town located in Seaside National Park was built based on the design of Omar Gorchulu in 1960s. This water town was put back into service anew in 2012 after long term reconstruction. Though “New Venice” water town is quite different from the old “Venice” from outward appearance point of view, the main point is the same. After the repair, the canals of the water town are reconstructed, their width is expanded, lighting system is updated. Water cleaning devices provides the constant limpidity of water. There are two big and several small islands. There are gothic style restaurants on big islands. One of them serves meals of national cuisine. The area of Venice of Baku is 10 000 square meters. 8 boats were brought from Italy in order to sail in “Venice” water town. The boats seat 4 people.
