Samad Vurgun Park – One of the oldest parks in Baku is Samad Vurgun Park near the Central Train Station. The statue of S. Vurgun was erected in the park in 1961. The sculptor was F. Abdurrahmanov, architecture was M. Huseynov. This was the first monument that was set up for a literary figure immediately after his death in the former Soviet Union. The area of the park is large and has several fountains.
