Reservoir (Abdulvahab Salamzada)The Reservoir was built in XVI century in Balakhani, one of the oldest villages of Baku with the order of Shirvanshahs’ emir Khawaja Zeynaddin. This 40-staired water reservoir was built to supply the people with water. A horse was tied to the wheel that was in the center of the water well in order to draw water. The water of the well flowed to ditches, also to the Gum Bathhouse. The reservoir was in use until April revolution in 1920. The depth of the reservoir is seven meters and was intended to supply the people of the Balakhani with drinking water.
