Mud Volcano, Absheron, GobuThere are more than 220 mud volcanos in the Republic of Azerbaijan. There are mud volcanos in different parts of the world, but 1/3 of them are located in the territory of Azerbaijan in an area of 16000 km2. Gobu Bozdaghi mud volcano is located in 15 km on north-east from Baku, in 3 km on north and north-east from Gobu village. Bozdagh highland is a long dam located on latitude direction. In the center of the dam is located mud volcano composed of two groups. One of these groups is located on the top of the mountain of the same name on the north from Gobu village, the other one is located in 800-1000 meters on the east from the first one.
