It is the first teachers" seminary opened in Azerbaijan. When moving Azerbaijani Branch of Gory Teachers" Seminary to Kazakh in 1918 Firudin Bey Kocherly met great difficulties. Because of political unrest in Baku their train stopped in the Aghstafa station. A few days later, they decided to open seminary in Kazakh until the situation was normalized in Baku. But where? Kocherly"s spouse Badiseba Khanum Vakilova came to Kazakh, visited her relations and explained their concern about the seminary issue. A villager from Kosalar village, Mashadi Ibrahim became aware of the situation and decided to give his two-storeyed red-bricked building built in 1910 for the activities of the seminary. Self-fortuned Mashadi Ibrahim was an owner of a few buildings and a Karvansara in the town, and was used to spend his money in the mosques and religious schools (madrasa) and share his wealth among the poor as charity. Kazakh Teachers" Seminary began its activities in the above mentioned building. Seminary became a scientific center for both Azerbaijan and Azerbaijanis living in Georgia and Armenia. Until 1959, number of graduates of the seminary was 3000.

Some scenes of the famous movie "Deli Kür" ("Crazy Kura") (1969) were shot in this building. The seminary building serves as a secondary school now.
