Embassy of India, Baku with the support of the Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL) organized a Cultural Program on the theme of Bollywood Dance and Songs on May 31 at the AUL, Report informs referring to the embassy.
Azerbaijani singers and dancers gave sensational performances, which were enjoyed by all, including university students.
In his welcome remarks, Ambassador of India B.Vanlalvawna thanked the AUL for the support extended and all the artists for their wonderful performances.
The event was attended by AUL Vice-Rector Novruz Mammadov, Anar Rahimov, Head of the AUL International Cooperation Department, and other dignitaries.
The Heydar Aliyev Center is pleased to announce the Children's Festival on June 1.
The festival, timed to International Children's Day, will take place in the park of Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku from 15:00 to 18:00 (GMT+4), Azernews reports.
The large-scale event is organized with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Education, the Narimanov District Executive Authorities, and the Regional Development Public Association.
The festival is aimed not only to create a holiday mood among children, but also to draw the attention of society to such matters as ensuring a happy and healthy childhood, educating children, and forming them as worthy citizens.
Children from orphanages and students from boarding schools will also take part in the festival.
Various entertainment and educational programs will be held as part of the celebration.
Each child will be able to choose entertainment according to their interests, spend their leisure time effectively, and demonstrate their talents
The territory of the park will be divided in accordance with themes and types of entertainment.
Thus, mini-tournaments, competitions, and interactive games will be organized for sports fans. Moreover, the children have a chance to take part in chess competitions and meet with Olympic champions.
Interesting facts about space and planets will be provided at the site reserved for the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory.
Children who are interested in high technology will be able to get acquainted with the process of creating drones in interactive classes.
At the archaeological platform, those interested in this area will have the opportunity to conduct excavations and discover various models of archaeological finds. Children will also be able to visit a mini-farm here.
Within the framework of the festival, the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation will organize training for children on the traffic rules.
Besides, the children will be able to visit an art zone, a corner of bibliophiles, dances, competitions on boats, concert programs, and other entertainments. Various gifts will be given to the winners and participants of the contests.
Entrance to the festival is free.
The opening of the exhibition "African Soul" by the famous Moroccan photographer Mohammd Tazi took place in Baku.
Report informs that the event was organized with the support of the Moroccan Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Mohamed Adil Ambarch stated at the opening that the exhibition symbolizes the developing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
"As you know, Africa Day is celebrated all over the world today. We would like to contribute to its popularization. Photographer Mohamed Tazi has collected here his most beautiful and unique works about this part of the world," the ambassador said.
Photographer Tazi, in turn, said he was glad to present his works in Baku
."It is an honor for me to be here, in Azerbaijan, which impresses me with its beauties," he added.
The exhibition will run until June 5.
Africa Day is celebrated annually on May 25 by the countries of the African Union by decision of the UN.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Otto Holt - post-war fine arts in the early 1920s" organized by the German Embassy has been held in Baku.
German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig attended the opening ceremony.
According to him, although the heyday of the works of German artist, sculptor, and ceramist Otto Holt was very difficult, he was able to reflect the realities of the artist's era in his paintings:
"Today's exhibition demonstrates the difficulties of the First World War and its consequences. Holt's paintings are trendy and are displayed all over Germany."
The exhibition, which will run until June 9, features about 50 works by Otto Holt.

A jazz concert marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Norway has been held at the House of Literature in Norway’s capital Oslo.

The Azerbaijani Fashion Week 2022 took place at the Hilton Baku Hotel bringing together designers from Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, Azernews reports.
Fashion week unites people
The phrase "We are Together" has been chosen as the main motto of the 12th season of Azerbaijan Fashion Week.
The fashionistas had a great chance to meet once again and, most importantly, to convey the ideas of friendship and peace through creativity.
The theme of friendship between peoples and respect for the national traditions of different countries was reflected in the colors of the main visual of this season. For the design of posters, invitations, and gifts, artists and graphic designers used all the colors of the flags of the participating countries.
Spectacular fashion shows
On the first day, eight fashion houses and ateliers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Turkey presented their stunning collections to the public.
The fashion week opened with a show by the Azerbaijani designer Ulkar Hasanova. Her fashion collection included beautiful feminine looks.
Another national designer presented a fashion collection that featured pink, light green, emerald, and all shades of beige as well as retro details, such as lacing.
The brand "Miduamo" (Azerbaijan) conveys the idea ofdeveloping the non-oil sector of the economy. Founder and designer Mujgen Bashirova stands for sustainable fashion, which is why she uses natural fabrics.
The fashion show started with a dance. At the end of the fashion show, the designer appeared on the catwalk with a real snake.
The brand "Eva Boutique" is distinguished by many unique handmade elements and features sparkling pearls and crystals. This season, the brand pleased fashionistas with plus-size outfits.
The fashion brand "Adili" (Kazakhstan) amazed everyone with its accessories collection. Without changing the main idea, the brand's designers modernized folk motifs in ready-to-wear collections.
The fashion brand "Mimiya" (Turkiye) is distinguished by a restrained color scheme, mainly white color. The fashion show also included a floral dress, a coat dress with shoulders inspired by the 80s, an over-size jacket dress, and a pantsuit with feathers.
"Zu Sorelle Atelier" (Azerbaijan), specializing in bridal and evening fashion, presented beautiful red, and green gowns, wedding dresses with an accentuated waistline, full skirt, and shimmering crystals.
Gunay Ibrahimli (Azerbaijan) presented all the best that is produced under her own brand - from bright over-size trouser suits to bold evening dresses. She ended her fashion show with a performance that aroused great interest.
The Nizami Cinema Center will host an award ceremony for the winners of the Golden Kids Awards 2022 on June 7, Azernews reports.
Golden Kids Awards 2022 has been held in the country since 2018 to mark the International Day of Children.
The project is headed by the pianist and composer, the head of the AKIB Department of Culture and Arts, Ulviyya Babirli.
The 4th Golden Kids Awards is dedicated to the Year of Shusha in Azerbaijan.
The main goal of the project is to discover young talents and develop their potential.
The 5-16 years old contestants will be awarded special prizes in various nominations of vocal, folk, pop, classical, instrumental, visual, dance, theatrical, and cinematic arts.
The best contestants were determined based on the results of the past year for active and successful activities.
