International Mugham Center will host another concert as part of "Rejuvenated mugham" project.
The event will be dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the People’s Artist Alibaba Mammadov.
Alibaba Mammadov began his artistic career in the Philharmonic in 1949. His natural talent and clear voice have conquered the hearts of audiences. The talented singer has devoted more than 60 years of his life to developing and promoting the Azerbaijani Mugham.
In 2015, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation published a new music album devoted to the life and creativity of Alibaba Mammadov to mark his 85th anniversary.
The album includes a book talking about the life and creativity of Alibaba Mammadov, two publications with the notes of his own songs and tasnifs and 4 CDs with popular songs, tasnifs and mughams performed by mugham singer.
The scope of "Rejuvenated mugham" is expanding every year. As a result of the six concerts that have been implemented since 2005, dozens of young mugham singers have been presented to the general public.
The project aims at supporting and teaching young talents the secrets of Azerbaijani musical art.
The project managers are People's Artist, professor Mansum Ibragimov, Honored Artists
Elchin Gashimov (tar) and Elnur Akhmadov (kamancha).

"Baku-Moscow: dialogue of cultures" conference has been held in Baku bringing together public and cultural figures from both countries.
The project was implemented for the first time between the capitals of the two countries to strengthen the ties between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The event was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture, Moscow Government and TASS News Agency.
Speaking at the conference, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stressed that dialogue of cultures has become a cornerstone of all international relations.
"This is respect for each other and the search for common ground, despite the fact that we are all different - if we are talking about peoples, countries and each person," she said.
First Deputy Director General of the Russian TASS News Agency Mikhail Gusman noted that Azerbaijan and Russia have deep historical roots.
He expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for their support in holding the conference.
"Everyone feels great joy from being in Baku, and the matter is not only in traditional Azerbaijani hospitality, but also in the atmosphere of friendship, cooperation, attention that the delegation is surrounded by,” the first deputy director general added".
At conference, Azerbaijan Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev said that the event was held for the first time.
The Minister emphasized that the Baku Process, launched at the initiative of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, continues its work in various forms and gives impetus to the implementation of various international projects.
These events aim to lay the foundation for expanding relations and consider topics to be discussed during the upcoming Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
People's writer of Azerbaijan Anar Rzayev noted that Azerbaijan pays great attention to Russian culture.
The Luch (Light) Literary and Creative Association operates under the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union. Moreover, Literary Azerbaijan and World of Literature editions are published, thus uniting Russian-speaking authors.
"The Writers' Union contributes to this noble cause for the further development of cultural ties between countries. The conference "Baku-Moscow: dialogue of cultures" conference will serve to further bring closer our peoples, culture and literature," he said.
As part of the conference, Baku and Moscow signed a protocol on cooperation in the field of culture. The document was signed by Head of Baku’s Main Department of Culture Jalil Melikov and Head of Moscow’s Department of Culture Alexander Kibovsky.
The cooperation will be carried out in the areas of concert activity, museum and exhibition work, library work, cultural and leisure activities, art and music education.
The books "Formula of Power" and "Formula of Life" by the First Deputy General Director of the TASS News Agency, Honored Journalist of Russia Mikhail Guzman was presented at the conference.
The event was held at Baku Book Center to mark the 70th anniversary of Mikhail Guzman.
The evening was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere with the participation of prominent public figures, representatives of culture and science.
At the ceremony, the director of the Baku Book Center Gunel Rzayeva said that the presentation serves as a good example of a high level of cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia.
The book "Formula of Power" consists of 70 interviews with prominent figures. During the discussions, world leaders shared their personal opinions on a wide range of issues.
The second book "Formula of Life" is dedicated to the parents of Mikhail Guzman. The book tells about their impeccable professional service and devotion to their family and friends.
Moreover, a photo exhibition of prominent representatives of both countries opened its doors to visitors at Heydar Aliyev Center. The event was jointly organized by the TASS News agency and the Azerbaijan State News Agency.
The exhibition displays more than 60 photographs taken by TASS and AZERTAC photo journalists.
These works feature the leaders of the both countries, well-known politicians, public figures, scientists, actors, musicians and athletes.
In his speech, AZERTAC Chairman of Board Aslan Aslanov emphasized that the exposition highlights the great creative potential of photo journalists.
"TASS and AZERTAC photojournalists, is evidence of the close ties of our agencies, which have always been distinguished by friendliness and mutual support. This is the story of the relationship between our countries in photographs, and over the years these photographs become even more valuable. I am sure that we will have many more joint exhibitions ahead. Indeed, the cooperation of our countries is expanding and gaining strength, and we will do everything to create with our messages and photographs a chronicle of this friendship," said Aslanov.
Director General of Russian TASS News Agency Sergey Mikhaylov expressed his confidence that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan would be further strengthened.

The biggest travel trade event in the region “Travel Business Azerbaijan 2020” will be held in capital Baku on April 29.
Co-organized by the State Tourism Agency and Azerbaijan Tourism Board, the event will bring together more than 1000 visitors to the Baku Convention Centre.
The event, which is the first of its kind in Azerbaijan, aims to help local and international tourism professionals establish direct communication while also serving as a platform for showcasing the tourism potential of Azerbaijan.
Over 400 tourism professionals and key players from 50 countries are invited to attend the event that will include B2B (Business to Business) meetings and seminars.
As a part of the event, visits to the tourist attractions of capital Baku and regions will be organized for foreign delegates.
A virtual museum will open soon in Baku Khans' Palace.
At press conference, Chairman of the Board of the Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve Asker Alekperov stressed that the museum will be available for visitors in the middle of this year.
The museum will provide a virtual trip to medieval. In addition, numerous exhibitions will be held in the open-air museum and the antique museum of Gala State Reserve.
Moreover, the restoration of two emergency buildings located at 3 and 5 Boyuk Gala Street in Icherisheher is planned to be completed before the end of the year. All 17 families who live in these buildings are provided with temporary housing.
In 2019, some 3040 official guests visited the reserve while in 2018 this figure was equal to 2075. Last year, about 383, 528 people visited museums, which is 30 percent higher than in 2018.
Baku Khans' Palace is considered to be a significant historical and cultural monument for the country.
After the collapse of the Shirvanshahs state, and in the 17th century during the khanates period in the territory of Azerbaijan, Baku khans lived in a palace located on the left side of Shamakhi Gate.
After the Russian occupation of Baku in 1806, the Russian military garrison was placed in the khan's palace. In the post-Soviet period, the military police were located in this area.
Earlier, there was a garden with pool and flowers in this area. At present, only the entrance portal and the restored small mosque have survived from this magnificent palace.
Archeological excavations were carried out in the one part of Baku khan's palace in 1985-1986. In addition, along with a large number of material and cultural examples, the underground water supply system and underground architectural structures were also discovered.
The following khans lived in the palace of Baku khans: 1747-1765 - Mirza Mohammed khan (son of Dergahqulu khan); 1765-1784 - Malik Mohammed khan (son of Mirza Mohammed khan I); 1784-1791 - Mirza Mohammed khan (son of Malik Mohammed khan); 1791-1792 - Mahammad Gulu khan (son of Mirza Mohammed khan I); 1792-1806 - Huseyn Gulu Khan (son of Haji Aligulu Agha Khan).
Baku and Moscow have signed a protocol on cultural cooperation.
The signing ceremony took place as part of the Baku-Moscow: Dialogue of cultures conference.
In the document, Azerbaijan is represented by head of the Main Cultural Department of Baku city Jalil Melikov and the Russian side by the head of Moscow's Department of Culture, Alexander Kibovsky.
The Baku process, which was laid out by the President of Azerbaijan, is implemented in various formats, Report says, citing Azerbaijani Minister of Culture Abulfas Garayev. The Minister spoke at the round table "Intercultural dialogue - the basis of dialogue among peoples" held in Baku as part of the conference "Baku-Moscow: Dialogue of Cultures."
The Minister noted that Baku would host the next Humanitarian Forum this autumn. "And to prepare for it, we organized this dialogue of cultures with Russia. The first such dialogue of cultures between the two capitals," the Minister of Culture said.
A broad representative delegation of about 150 people arrived from Russia to attend the forum in Azerbaijan.
Garayev noted that the basis for the work in preparation for the upcoming Autumn Humanitarian Forum would be laid as part of the Baku-hosted conference.
"This conference will allow us to establish and expand ties between our experts, artists, scientists and public figures," the Minister said.

Nadezhda (Hope) International Art Competition has been solemnly held in Baku, bringing together young talents from Russia, Turkey and Georgia.
The contest was co-organized by the Azerbaijan Youth Union and the Dance Association with the support of the Cultural Ministry and JamGroup to reveal and develop the creative potential of the younger generation.
The competition was held by age category: babies (6 years old), children (up to 10 years old), juniors (up to 16 years old), teenagers (16 years old and older). The competition featured various genres, including folk, classical, pop, music, shows, fashion, choir and dance.
