Shahbulag Fortress

Shahbulag Fortress (castle) was built near the city of Aghdam in 1750-1752 at the request of the Karabakh khan Panah-Ali Khan. After the occupation of the Aghdam district by the Armenian armed forces, Shahbulag Fortress became the most Armenianized one of ourmonuments. Recently, the fortress was restored and is used as a church.
